In May 2014, I witness the nest construction by this wasp in one of my potted plant just at my doorstep.
It took almost 3 hours for it to complete building the nest.
Something green was stuffed into the nest after it was built. It may be a caterpillar meant to be the food of the wasp's lava.
In December 2023, another of this wasp decided to construct a nest in my home. This time round on the lower part of a wall at my balcony inside the house. The location was partially concealed by a pot of Zamioculcas zamiifolia. The colour of the nest matched well with that of the wall thus provided another layer of concealment for the nest. I only discovered the nest when I saw the hovering wasp around the area which prompted me to do a though search of the area for its nest.
Eventually, 3 cells were built consecutively side-by-side over 3 days. Each one was sealed before the construction of the next one began. The wasp was seen transporting caterpillars caught to the nest.
